Mastoiditis
The bacterial infection of the skull’s mastoid bone, it is often a complication of acute otitis media, or middle
ear infection. The infection spreads from the ear to the mastoid bone, which is located just behind the ear, and may
cause the bone to deteriorate. Mastoiditis is treated with antibiotics.
